If you haven’t already, take time to explore Galway City Centre. Stroll through the colourful streets and visit attractions like Eyre Square and the Spanish Arch.Visit Galway Cathedral and admire its stunning architecture.Enjoy traditional Irish music in the lively pubs of Galway.
Salthill, County Galway, Ireland
Clifden, County Galway, Ireland
Renvyle, County Galway, Ireland
Visit Kylemore Abbey, a stunning castle set in picturesque surroundings.
Letterfrack, County Galway, Ireland
Drive from Galway to Connemara National Park on the N59 (approx. 80 km, 1.5 hours). If you have time, Clifden is a great stop for coffee
Leenane, County Mayo, Ireland
See Ireland’s only fjord- Killary Fjord. You can take a boat trip here if you wish. You could also climb Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holy mountain. Views from the top are apparently spectacular, but make sure you are adequately prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing.
Letterass, Erriff, County Mayo, Ireland
Take 10 minutes to see Aasleagh Falls waterfall
R335, Clashcame, County Mayo, Ireland
Drive the INCREDIBLE Dooloogh Valley famine road (R335). This is one of my favourite roads in the area and is perfectly doable in all vehicles.
Bertra Road, Ireland
Don’t miss Bertra Beach. It’s jaw-dropping!
Quay Road, Westport Demesne, Westport, County Mayo, Ireland
www.westporthouse.ieThis area has limited campsites, although on the expensive side, this campsite is in the heart of Westport. The other option for a night stop around here is a off grid park up somewhere.
County Mayo, Ireland
Keem beach is regularly voted one of the prettiest beaches in the world. Motorhomes must park at the top (which leaves you a long walk down!), so it’s up to you if you want to walk to the beach and back up or not.
County Mayo, Ireland
I prefer this to Keem beach, not least because there’s no huge hill to navigate! There’s also a great campsite (watch out for sheep!) AND free parking spots within 2 minutes of the sand, plus a coffee van, supermarket and mobile creperie. I spent 2 nights here and would happily have stayed longer.
Keel Holiday Cottages, Keel East, Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland

Glenurla, County Mayo, Ireland
Follow the road around towards Sligo. If you enjoy history, visit the Ciede Fields, Queen Maeve’ s burial mound and the Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery, one of the largest and oldest megalithic sites in Ireland.
Knockaun, County Mayo, Ireland
Be sure to stop at DownPatrick Head and walk to see the unusual rock formation. Don’t miss the EIRE sign used to tell pilots they were over Ireland.
Carrowmore, Sligo, Ireland
County Sligo, Ireland
Strandhill, a charming coastal village known for its sandy beaches and great surfing conditions.
Ireland
Drive to Sligo Town and explore the town's historical sites, such as Sligo Abbey, and enjoy the lively music scene. You might also want to head a little further north to see the famous Drumcliffe Churchyard, where the poet W.B. Yeats is buried. Take a moment to explore the grounds.
