  For 27 September, you’re still just within the main season, so the Eagle’s Nest buses should be running the fuller September timetable. The first buses start from Obersalzberg around 08:30–08:55, with additional services during September. For Billy, I’d do this:Drive to Parkplatz Obersalzberg - Dokumentationszentrum.Walk a few minutes to Eagle’s Nest Bus Departure Point and buy/collect your tickets.Take the shuttle bus up to Kehlsteinhaus. Private vehicles cannot use the Kehlstein road. With Billy being 7.5m, I’d suggest arriving before 09:00. The Obersalzberg parking area is the normal parking location for Eagle’s Nest visitors and gives you the best chance of finding a suitable space before it gets busy. A useful extra: the Documentation Obersalzberg is right by the parking and bus departure point, and admission is included with the Eagle’s Nest ticket if you fancy seeing it before or after the trip. If you’re staying overnight nearby, I’d probably use Reisemobilstellplatz Mobiler Alpengenuss and then drive up to Obersalzberg early the next morning. It is one of the better-known motorhome stopovers in Berchtesgaden.One other thing: September weekends can still be very busy. If 27 September is your planned day, I’d strongly consider booking the bus online in advance rather than just turning up.

Waves push air through pipes beneath the marble steps, creating constantly changing sounds. It’s particularly atmospheric around sunset.Greeting to the Sun 🌅 ⭐⭐⭐⭐The huge solar-powered glass installation beside the Sea Organ lights up after dark. A bit touristy, but fun.Waterfront / Riva 🌊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is probably your bit. A lovely easy stroll along the seafront with views across the Adriatic and islands, without needing a strenuous walk.St Anastasia’s Cathedral & Bell Tower 🔔 ⭐⭐⭐⭐The tower gives excellent views if you’re happy with the climb — but given your dislike of lots of steps, I’d probably admire it from below!St Donatus & the Roman Forum 🏛️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐½Compact and atmospheric rather than a huge sightseeing undertaking.Kolovare / nearby beaches 🏖️If the weather is warm, you can combine the old town with a swim. The water around Zadar is beautifully clear.

  #346697🏘️ It’s a really pretty little old town — built on a small, rounded peninsula, with narrow stone streets and houses clustered around the hill. It feels much more intimate than Dubrovnik or Split.🌊 The setting is the big attraction. You get sea views in virtually every direction, and the walk around the peninsula is lovely.⛪ St George’s Church sits at the top, giving you the classic viewpoint over the red roofs and Adriatic.🍇 The vineyards are unusual and beautiful. The famous Bucavac vineyards are just outside town — incredibly labour-intensive dry-stone-wall terraces stretching towards the sea.🌅 It’s particularly good late afternoon/evening. Wander the old town, walk the waterfront and have dinner overlooking the sea.🚐 It works well for a motorhome itinerary. It isn’t somewhere I’d suggest spending several days, but one night/part of a day is enough and it breaks up the journey nicely.

Mangalem old town — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is the classic Berat view: rows of white houses with their windows stacked up the hillside. Wander the narrow lanes and look back across the river.2. Berat Castle (Kala) — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Definitely go up. It’s not just ruins — it’s a living citadel, with houses, churches, mosques and narrow cobbled lanes still inside the walls. There is some uphill walking, but you can take a taxi close to the top, which I’d recommend for you rather than tackling the whole climb.3. Gorica Bridge — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is the classic viewpoint looking back towards Mangalem. I’d particularly do it around late afternoon/golden hour — the combination of river, bridge and hillside houses is gorgeous. 4. Gorica quarterCross the bridge and have a wander. It’s quieter than Mangalem and gives you the best perspective back towards the famous hillside.5. Onufri Iconographic MuseumInside the castle. Worth doing if you’re interested in art/history; otherwise I’d prioritise the castle itself.🌿 Something I think you’d particularly likeThe Osum River and surrounding landscape. Berat isn’t just pretty buildings — it’s set in a lovely valley with mountains around it. There are also trips out to Osum Canyon if you have more time, although I’d probably save that for another day rather than cram it into your first visit.🚐 And for Billy…This is actually a good motorhome destination.

The beautiful Ottoman-era dervish house is built right against the enormous limestone cliff, beside the point where the Buna bursts out of the rock. The spring is astonishingly clear and powerful. You can wander around the river and see the Tekija from outside without paying to enter. If you want to go inside, modest dress is required.2. Riverside walk and restaurantsThe area immediately around the spring is very pretty — turquoise/emerald water, huge cliffs and restaurants beside the river. Fresh Buna trout is the local speciality. There are also boat trips into the cave at the Buna source, although these are dependent on conditions/operator availability. Taxi to mostar €25Stari Most (Old Bridge) – the absolute must-see. The bridge and surrounding Old Town are UNESCO-listed. Kujundžiluk Old Bazaar – atmospheric cobbled streets immediately around the bridge, with copperware and traditional shops. Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque – definitely worth doing, particularly for the views over Stari Most. Crooked Bridge (Kriva Ćuprija) – tiny but pretty, and an easy addition to the Old Town walk.Tara & Halebija Towers beside the bridge / Old Bridge Museum if you want some history. Bulevar / war-history area – I’d include this because Mostar’s history is so important. You don’t need a huge amount of time, but it makes the city much more meaningful than simply seeing the pretty bridge.And I’d considerForticaIf you’re feeling up to it, Fortica Sky Walk gives a spectacular panorama over Mostar and the Neretva. There is now a shuttle from the Old Town, so you don’t have to hike up.
