This is our 'Go To' overnight parking for the tunnel or ferries. £8 (so €10) Lots of spaces. Bus to Canterbury is included - it's a P+R. Two areas for MoHo / Campervan parking - we usually go to the overflow. Very easy drive to the ports the next morning and there is a BO garage on the way if you want to get fuel before France.

Great spot in the French countryside - the Cockerel does wake up early though, so best to avoid the spot right next to the farmhouse. Great walking and cycling paths alongside the River Somme.

A free vineyard stop on the edge of Saumur - but you will probably buy wine. Three or four spots on the vineyard backing onto the vines and then a great vineyard walk into Saumur. We stopped two nights. Fresh water from a tap is the only other service.

This one looked amazing in the search for sites photo - it's a long, think car park on the edge of a road between the post office depot and the village. The village is very nice and we did a big hike out in the countryside. So a nice stop and apparently famous for it's cheese.

Lovely Aire at the edge of the village. Quite busy (but quiet), looks to be a popular stop to or from the Spanish border. We just stayed one night, but the village was lovely (walkable from the Aire) and there are lots of hikes in the area if you stopped longer. All the usual camping carpark facilities.

This was a gem of a park up. Only us backed up right on the river. No electric while we were there, which I think was because of the time of year - lovely spot and amazing scenery. We did a little walk out to Mostuéjouls village and that was so quirky - all little lanes to wander around. The path into the Aire is steep but very doable.

On Search for Sites this was showing as a €5 stopover in the village carpark. That last review is a few years old though and it looks like a new car park and a visitor centre has been built in the meantime and the overnight cost is now €20. The MH spots are super narrow so we parked in another spot in the car park and maybe because it was March, that was fine. Village is very pretty with restaurants and the hike is incredible.

This was a great stop in front of a lake with flamingoes in the distance. You go and pick your own spot - no electric unless you park on the road. It's an easy walk or cycle along the beachfront path into the town. There's a small supermarket in the town and plenty of restaurants. Such a great €value spot.

We came here because two other stops that we had picked out didn't turn out well - one looked like it was closed for winter and the other didn't take campers on a Saturday - but this was a gem. Hardstanding, on the marina and with a laundry within walking distance. It's one of those with a booking in screen at the gate - fill in all your details and credit card and you are in.

This was a gem - one of our favourite stops and our first stop in Spain. The site is small and friendly. Plenty of vans here. The pitches aren't huge but enough space. It's a 30 / 40 min walk into town along paths. There's walking into the hills behind you. An amazing coastal walk from the town. The town is a proper town with everything you could need. There is a Mercadona and an Aldi walkable from the site. A great stop.

we've been to Horta Saint Joan. The village is small and lovely on the top of a hill. Lot's of history. Some small shops and a bakery / panaderia. Today it's probably the greenway / bikeway that bring people to the village. It goes for miles all the way to Bot alongside the Ebra river on an old converted railway line. There is also a small Aire in the village - €3 a night - we would probably stay there next time. Stunning views from the Aire but overlooking a pig farm which is what put us off. When we were in this spot we had the place mostly to ourselves. Small toilet and showers shed. Fresh water. Eco black emptying and the views were stunning. narrow road to get in but ok if you take your time.

A great Camping Car Park Aire really well laid out - not the typical. Quiet and overlooking the village but a tricky walk to the village.

a lovely village to walk around in the medieval (or older) streets and work your way up to the castle. We don't usually do castle visits but this one was €6 each and so interesting to walk around and get the views even higher.

This was our first campsite stop on the trip and so worth it. The pitches were a good size eliminated with big hedges. Shower and Toilet facilities were great. Bar and small supermarket with bread. Swimming Pool in the summer - closed when we were there. You can walk through the back of the campsite onto the coastal path, which is amazing. nice paths as you wander along form cove to cove. Alcossebra is about a 40 min walk. This is the stop where we got into shorts and t-shirts for the first time.

This is the perfect Valencia stop. Site is small but with enough spaces. A few showers. Lot's of info about getting to Valencia and the metro is 600 metres walk. They had a pizza wagon on site when we were there. The local village is well worth a walk around too.

We loved Javier. Such a pretty seaside town and the beach is white sand, great waves sea. Lot's of restaurants and shops on the seaside but not tacky. You can walk or cycle to the small village along the seafront.

a great small aire on the edge of the village and the village is lovely. There is a big Mas y Mas supermarket next door. Great bakers in the village. A farmers market and a giant flea market and tons of walks to the local villages dotted in the hills. It's also a famous road cycling spot so lots of bikes here. we did a great hike out through the valley - all orange groves, vines, olive trees - and to the nearby villages. we were also here for Easter and walking through the village with the evening Easter procession was so lovely.

This was our stop on a Finca with a swimming pool and hot tub in the Murcia countryside for €10 a night. Just farms and trails all around. The site has been so well put together, the pitches are really well thought out with great seperation.

Tavira is a small city on Portugal’s Algarve coast. It straddles the Gilão River, which reaches the sea through the inlets and lagoons of Ria Formosa Natural Park. Tavira Island has a long, sandy beach, plus salt pans that attract flamingos, spoonbills and other wading birds. In the center, medieval Tavira Castle has city views. The Santa María do Castelo Church houses the tombs of 7 knights killed by the Moors.

We were pitch 38. On the other side there were what looked like bigger pitches, but this one was fine. Small, rustic, basic facilities but you can walk to the incredible Praia Figuerea beach and to the pretty town of Salema straight from the site. TheSalema cliffs walk takes you on a small stretch of the Fisherman’s Walk trail. The walk back on the roads from Salema is about 40 mins all on paths. Our afternoons were very West Algarve windy.

It's a big gravel area but with generous, clearly separated pitches 4.5 metres wide. Water, WC emptying, grey water emptying and upgrades such a toilets and showers to come. Uber to Porto is €10 to €15 and takes 30 mins to 50 mins depending on traffic. Camino trail runs past, so miles of boardwalk and amazing sandy beaches - the better beaches are a walk turning right out of the site.

It's a garden spot but with marked out pitches one side of the house and overflow behind the house. Pay in an honesty box, so bring cash +€2.00 if you want electric and €3.50 washing machine, which is really cheap. Easy walk into the town from the site, through the park and over the bridge.

Great drive to get here on really great roads and then smaller roads as doon as you hit Asturias - burning its magical - all coloured mountain village houses and huge mountain backdrop. We had Pitch 38 with a side outlook over the village and mountain - there are 'bunches' of pitch areas here, 38 is in the second section along from the toilet. See the '40' marker.

There are two Canoe rental companies in the village, one on each side of the river. Both look fine. We went with this one because the website had a better expansion of the routes - there are various. Good equipment, good English explanation, friendly. We went for the four hours to Les Eyzies - it took us about 5 and half hours with a couple of stops.

We tried to stop at Clissen but arrived on the day of a huge music festival and the campsite has been booked out for a year and is already fully booked for the same weekend next year (around 21st June). Looks a great town for a visit though so I've left the stop here :)
